Project: Wristblades.

Well, after fuck knows how long, I got back into my blades, over the past few months, work has just been a giant fucking leech sucking my will to live. Not to mention my will to work on side projects. BUT I have made some progress and thought it would be an idea to post some evidence of said progress.



The Blades themselves were laser cut (only just) from 12mm H/Tn Stainless, I say only just because the laser cutter is on its limit trying to punch through 12mm high tensile metals. No shit, you should see the power meter spinning over when this bitch is at full load. Anyways, because it is on the limit, the finish isn't that great, which is neither here nor there because I have to detail grind and finish the blades by hand.



There's the handful of parts I have made so far.







Obviously this is just the very basic starting point, the actual gauntlet was a bit of a shitter at the start, I roll formed several prototypes but trying to roll form a tapered cone and keep it concentric is a C**T!! So I just press bent it instead, what you see there is just a basic chassis, I am working on the slide/release mechanism at the moment but still have a little more machine work to.

With any luck, the next update should be soon. Maybe. Actually, no one hold their breath.

Because they are going to be fully functional, all the way. The gauntlet and everything else is aluminum, the Blades aren't really that heavy, and there will be a bit of material to come off them yet after I do the grinding and detailing etc. Most importantly, I love polished stainless. Especially if it resembles a couple of two foot long blades attached to my forearm.

I am pretty sure that in the movie, one of the protesters toward the start was holding a sign that spelled it "Praun" i could be wrong. I am not sure, i will have to watch it yet again to find out! Its great on Bluray
