You definitely should - The Man in the High Castle is set in an alternative present where the Allies lost the Second World War and America was divided up between Germany and Japan. Ubik is brilliant. _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!

I haven't read the book - absolute headwreck of a movie though, very good. _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!

Actually, it's the remake.
I don't get why Asshole added the flying saucers though. _________________

Mahmoud Darwish's Memory for Forgetfullness.
About the Israeli invasion of Lebanon. It brings tears to my eyes, but is just fucking beautiful at the same time. _________________ The Justified Ancient of Mu Mu |

Has anyone else read Count Zero or Mona Lisa Overdrive? I have yet to do so, and I wanted any opinions. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

Yes, they're both fantastic. The trilogy lays the foundation for the entire cyberpunk genre, imo. Much better than his second trilogy, Virtual Light, Idoru and All Tomorrow's Parties, although they're very much worth the read too. Count Zero is a much pacier read, very much in the same line as Neuromancer, but Mona Lisa in many ways is probably the best of the three. If you're a fan of the author, Pattern Recognition is particularly good too. _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!
