Yeah. Sam hasn't read a script he didn't take. There was one shot paying homage to the original. And they didn't take the owl.

No, it's absolutely awful.
Sam Worthington is firmly staking a place for himself as the shittest actor of his generation. Gemma Arterton is not far behind. The suporting cast are quite obviously having an absolute laugh - Ralph Fiennes is particularly good as Hades, but because the two leads are so painfully shit and are taking themselves so painfully seriously the movie absolutely bombs. The 3D is completely shit as well, very badly done and all it does is make the action blurry.
Positives - some of the oldies hamming it up as the bad guys are brilliant, and a couple of the monsters are fantastic, but you can almost certainly wait until Christmas telly to watch it.

A lot of people I know were excited to see this in 3D.
Eventually I'll be stuck in the middle of the biggest bitch-fest since I don't even know yet.
I haven't seen it, but whenever I do I'll be glad with 2D.

I saw Alice in Wonderland instead. I mean, it was alright, but something tells me I would have enjoyed Dragon a lot more. |

Wait, are you now insinuating there was a plot to said movie? I mean isn't that what you mean by blow-by-blow? Or is that a euphamism for an upcoming Tiger Woods sex tape by the same name?
