I see tits whenever I look out my window.
Or search for them on Google. _________________

Saw it again while I was in NZ, alas I saw it at a pretty average cinema so the screen wasn't that big and it wasn't 3D. Got a mate who wants to go see it, so I might make a third time tomorrow night. _________________ "When I get home... I am going to do so much fucking cocaine..." |

It was the best-looking bad movie I've ever seen. If you go into it expecting to be blown away by a deep story you'll be disappointed. The brain-melting visuals only slightly make up for the one-dimensional acting and the heavy-handed preachiness. It really reminded me of Dances With Wolves to be honest. Which makes sense because Cameron wrote the original story for Avatar around the time Dances With Wolves was released in theaters. Maybe he saw it and inadvertantly (or deliberately) incorporated it into his story.
Then there's this nugget of funny:
What has me scratching my head is this crazy psychological phenomenon being called "Avatar Blues". Apparently there are people seeing the movie and becoming deeply depressed because they want it to be real. There's a great article about it HERE.
One person posted on a fan message board that he was contemplating suicide because he loved the movie so much he thought maybe he'd be reincarnated on a Pandora-like world. Now mind you he's 17 years old, but he's still a stupid emo kid. He's not the only one filled with dread. Folks are saying that the lush, life-filled world of Pandora made them aware that our world is dying and of the things humanity has done to kill it. Maybe they should all kill themselves before they breed and more stupid emo kids are born. _________________ "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."

I'm not old! I'm just used.
Work has been brutal for a long time, and with hockey season being compressed because of the Olympic break in February I have had less and less time to hit up the interwebs. I sorry. _________________ "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."

You know, if a lot of people commit suicide because this world is going to hell in a handbasket, we'll have more living space to expand our horizons and become a glorious new Reich.
Wait, that also sounds familiar. Somewhat. _________________

Hell, if a lot of people kill themselves then natural resources would not be used up faster than they can be replenished. _________________ "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."

Laughed. My. Fucking. Ass. Off.
Particularly funny since I'm reading Albert Speer's book Inside the Third Reich at the moment, and there really wasn't much funny about Hitler at all. And Speer doesn't go into the horrible Jew-slaughtering side of Nazi Germany at all really. _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!

back to the topic, though, i saw it. all i can say is it earned more than its fair share of spontaneous facepalm moments on my part.
i knew exactly what to expect so i wasn't disappointed or anything.
still, i was impressed to see just how stupid, uninspired, unoriginal and predictable a blockbuster movie can get. i think it really pushed the limits on this one.
and the 3D CGI eye candy? okay, best visuals ever, i get it, i couldn't care less.
anyway, i'm glad i got it over with. _________________ i have no time for anal love

Yeah... but, why should he? I mean, everybody always starts talking about that, but they did other bad things as well you know. Like... invent schlager music. And stuff. You know.
Also, sunday I'm gonna see Avatar in 3d. _________________
