Because although our current mods are doing a great job as is, sometimes they just can't get to the scene fast enough to delete the latest spammer cluttering the forum.
Anyone agree?

We should start a really vicious ten-way flame war and see how quickly it gets broken up, in order to assess the effectiveness of our moderating team.
