| I don't think it would've been the same. But his death is a shame. |

i've had a John Hughes marathon recently, consisting in re-watching Ferris Bueller and Weird Science (both of which i've seen ages ago), and watching for the first time Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Pretty in Pink. dated as they are, there's still some quality stuff there.
it got me thinking too that there was no comparable earnest teen-spirited material in the 90s to speak of, and it's a shame really. all we had was American Pie, and that's as much a coming-of-age story as... yeah. _________________ i have no time for anal love

I see. But let me ask you this -- what "good" did you feel after Breakfast Club? _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |

why, Bender's gonna score, of course.
but if you insist on comparing the oddly matched two titles, i felt rather good that in Breakfast Club no black kid got beaten to a bloody pulp with skateboards, no AIDS was spread among the group of teen protagonists, and no underage girl was raped in her sleep.
oh, and no grocery store owner had a cola bottle stolen from under his nose. _________________ i have no time for anal love
