Great news. I loved the AVP games for pc.
The first one had flaws, sure, but the good people learned from them, and they were pretty much all corrected in AVP2. I proudly keep the box on my shelf still, in fact, the game is still on my pc, for when I'm in the mood for some occasional carnage! _________________ Back in action |

| man, this game looks really cool. too bad Colonial Marines had to be delayed so this could be released. still, I look forward to playing as the predator. I can't wait until they start showcasing the other races. |

The marine trailer has already been released, but I'm too lazy to link it.
As far as I know the Alien trailer isn't up yet. |

| yeah, I heard in one of the E3 interviews they planned on introducing each race one at a time. they did the preds, so now they're doing the marines (gameplay vids of them may show up soon), and last but not least they'll reveal the Alien. |

Good graphics are nice, but I just hope the controls/gameplay will match up to the old games. _________________ Back in action |

Well, I figure it will largely be the same, you you can see that they have changed some stuff. For instance, now they have that targeted jump for the pred. Plus, it looks like you can grab people in order to pull off "trophy kills." _________________ Context is everything. |

indeed. Well, the grabbing will just be a keytap away when in range, I guess.
As for the jumps, seems ok'ish, but what is wrong with actually learning some in-game agility so you can make those jumps without actually having to target the spot you'll end up like in a RTS game? :p
I hope the alien doesn't feature such a thing. _________________ Back in action |

if anything, the Alien will probably have it as well, except it can claw people to death while doing it.
also, the jumping mechanic seems a lot less complicated than what you suggest, since you'd probably have to do psuedo-ninja run-and-jump crap that'd be really difficult to master. and I'm guessing that you can do regular jumps as a predator, but the mode that uses the jumps (if I remember correctly, it was called "Focus Mode") are probably a button away. |

| It'll probably be like an optional thing where you can go through the entire game without ever using it, like V.A.T.S... |

| and just like VATS, while it may be optional, it'd be incredibly useful during play. |

| I hope 'Focus Mode' isn't too difficult to learn. It'd be like how I wasted a lot of ammo in Fallout 3 trying to go the tradition shooter way because I didn't think I'd get comfortable using VATS. I have Jackie Chan, who only uses pistols and melee weapons without it. It's pretty kick ass. But kind of frustrating at the same time. |

Demo was fun. Limited, takes a long time to find a game. Fun though. _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

Rebellion should have their balls skewered with a Wristblade. Then they are allowed to be sorry. _________________

At least its just the demo.
Not like Modern Warfail 2 and Infinity Cawk's fucked up matchmaking in the retail copy of the game |

I don't get why they even bother with the matchmaking. The system from Killzone 2 works perfectly. _________________

| That video was really uninteresting. I hope the gameplay in the final product isn't as confusing... it looked like ANYONE could win, skilled or not. Then again, I haven't played the demo. |

Good games with the Mighty Lord Aramor just now
Eventually, I invited a friend who kicked both our asses even when we tried to gangbang him
I shall have my revenge |

Yes, we shall have our revenge. Next time he gets to be the Marine and we'll be Preds. _________________
