I finally got the balls to post up here…anyhoo.
Congrats on the new job! The job market around the city sucks, I finally got one two months ago and I’m still not full time. -_-
Great comic, as usual. We need to see more drunken Abe and Preston. :D

Congrats on the job Bern!

Hey, you don’t read Bronx Banter, do you? Just like yesterday some guy wrote a righteous little screed in the comments section about how the late 90′s Yanks were so much better than the current model (and you’ve heard this one a million times) because “They merely had guys who were average players, but played hard and played to win… they were not pre-madonna’s….” When he said “pre-madonna” instead of prima donna in the middle of his earnest comment I just about lost it.

I suppose if you’re looking for the one ballplayer who is most definitely post-Madonna, you need to lure Jose Canseco back to the bigs… :D

My vote pushed you up to number 5 on buzzcomix! Anyways, great comic. I found your site last Saturday and read all you comics in one day. Really funny stuff.

Why does Preston guard his drink with the left hand while using the right to pick it up and drink? Or is that reading too much into it?

Huzzahs for the job and the great reviews 8)

Have another from someone with only an obscure website….

When a friend aimed me at aLp, I started reading reluctantly; living halfway across the country from NYC, and never having set foot in it, I expected to find it as funny as I do most NYC-centric humor (read: not at all). Saying I was (and remain) pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I know I don’t get all the jokes in the way someone there would, but I find I enjoy them almost every time regardless. ‘Your mom likes it rough from this turnstile’ is a good example of that – probably not funny to me in the same way as it would be if I had to deal with those turnstiles every damn day, but it definitely made me laugh.

Then there’s my personal favorite, Pres’ favorite word. Some things are just universal.

Thanks for the everything-from-smiles-to-falling-out-of-my-chair-laughing.
