Hey ive been reading your comic for a few weeks now and i enjoy it. I actually live next to that fire and ice in providence you went too not that that matters.. anyway I was wondering if you are at all concerned about being sued for using those characters if this comic ever hits the right (wrong) radar screens..

I don’t even live in New York and I thought it was great!

Ha! I live in Boston, but a bunch of my friends and I are taking a road trip to NYC next weekend. We’re going to see Christo’s thing in Central Park, go to the MoMA, etc. One of my friends in fact used the phrase “New York Experience” to describe the trip. I asserted that the New York Experience must necessarily include a transvestite prostitute, and suggested that we set aside some funds. No-one else agreed, for some reason.

It took me a second viewing to notice Abe picking the guy’s pocket. Sweet.

I’ve come to the conclusion that i could never live in New York. I’m ugly, move slowly and am poor. I just wouldn’t survive. I’ll stick to my small suburban Canadian region of a town! Atleast there I can’t be compared to too many people and as a plus most of them are uglier than me.

Sounds great! I’m booking my plane ticket for a visit right away!

I demand to have this comic printed on high quality card stock and framed for my wall. Seriously.

AlP deserves to go 30 years, evolving all the way. You have CHOPS!

“Welcome to New York” is usually said with the most bitter possible tone, right after you tell someone about some awful, obstrange, overly expensive, humiliating thing that happened to you. We do put up with lot, and people who romanticise it don’t recognize the full deal.

MUAH! Thx for the Valentine!

I thought you’d gone Sunday on us. Which would be good.

Didn’t notice the wallet lift until the posts in here.

I agree!

Although I can’t completely empathize with the experience of *BEING* a New Yorker, I’ve had the good fortune to visit the city twice and I love it! I think about going back all the time. In fact, it’s a big reason I get such a kick out of ALP. Any comics about NYC are instantly endearing to me.

By the way, thanks for the link on the main page, Bernie!

This is great! Ya know I thought I wouldn’t get a lot of jokes on this comic because I live in the upstate New York, but I love this thing. I’d like to be the next tally mark up on the “Didn’t see the wallet pick until I read this thread” board.

I disagree with the “have money and look good” part. I never look good and rarely have money. I still love living here.

I only discovered ALP a little while ago, but I quickly plowed thru all the archives and look forward to each new strip with a sick glee.

God it makes me miss NY. I only lived there for a couple of years, but man, I wanna go back now more than ever.

Keep up the good work!
