Just remember, with great powers come great responsibilities, that’s what uncle Ben always said.

And if you’ve got your health, you’ve got everything, that’s what my doctor said.

AAAAAAAAAAAANNNND: Another brilliant comic from Bernieh!

I was looking for a new housemate a few weeks ago. I’m so happy I was not in the hospital back then, God only knows what my other housemate would have dragged in…

Bernie’s a mean psychic. My sister’s rat, who is now dead, is named Pabloo. Good job reminding us, you sicko.

Great episode. And I too know the joy of buying your own presents in October and November; “I never know what to get you.” Stupid friends and family. :x

Finally decided I should post something instead of just showing up to read the strip every week…

I was looking at Forbidden Planet online the other day and I noticed that, when perusing the Alien stuff for sale, all I could think of was Abe – and suddenly everything with the Alien on it looked kind of cute and whacky… That’s it Bernie – your work has permanently altered my outlook on the world! :D

That was great.

The mentioning of Jessica Alba and two guys and an alien beating the hell out of a monkey named Pablo. My life is complete.

Great comic, as always.

I was at a wedding reception in Philly over the summer and this guy spammed me. Apparently he was running for office in the area, introduced himself and followed it up with a “vote for me in November”. I don’t think it was even a conscious action on his part. Like it was an autonomous motor function or something. Creepy.

I wasn’t sure what the proper response was. I don’t even live in Philly. I looked around for a [Delete] key, but couldn’t find one. Thought about punching him to let out all of my bottled up spam hatred, but figured the newly married couple wouldn’t appreciate that. Oh well.

This episode seems like you’ve been reading my e-mail!!! That is so funny dude!!! Great idea!!

Guess what? I was going to start shopping for Christmas gifts too, like in January. Damn it, but I didn’t have any money left over after rent and bills. Yeah, I know.

I’m responsible for my own budget!! Geez!! So now, I’ll probably have to wait to see how excited I am until after January of 2006. That is if I live that long. If I don’t well…, no harm, no foul. Right? hahaha.

“Said the Jabberwock.” Frickin’ brilliant, as usual. At a time when The Boondocks has started making pee jokes, AlP is just getting smarter and smarter.

I wish real life spammers would spam each other. That was so great. I hate those fucking “Shoot the zombie/punch George W/swat the fly” banners. You almost can’t help clicking on one because they’re in the way all the time. Now they’re making noises too.

Abe has read “Alice In Wonderland”?

1. Yeah, I thought it might be out of character for Abe. Another good joke woulda been a reference to Vogon poetry, which woulda been a bit more in character… but I decided to go for the more… literary ref? I mean, it’s Alice in Wonderland, anyone can read Alice in Wonderland.

2. I so make pee jokes too

November 15, 2005 at 3:59 am

Yes you do Bernie, but your pee jokes I can actually laugh at and feel good about myself at the same time! =D

Good comic as usual, don’t want to be just an echo in here…

Xeno.Morph

Alice in Wonderland, what? The Jabberwock is a poem all on its own, isn’t it? Why are people talking about Alice in Wonderland?

If Abe’s seen Alice, it probably isn’t a very nice Alice.

My AiW stuff is a bit rusty…but yes, if I remember correctly, I think you are right. The Jabberwocky was a poem but it was done by the same author who wrote AiW: Lewis Carol.

Ipsa
November 15, 2005 at 1:01 pm

“Jabberwocky” is actually contained within Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There. So, it’s not really a stand alone poem.

Nerd Note of interest:
Alice Liddell, the heroine, was the daughter of Henry Liddell, who (with R. Scott) put together A Greek-English Lexicon.
