Damn, they can’t get ANY visual clues?
I don’t recognize the poster on the news stand in the second panel. What is it?

Given the shiny redesigned look of the newsstand I’d say it’s 2010

Though that is a “Spice World” movie poster on it. Strange.
Well 1997 it is then, and everything that was wrong with that era.

Yay, Clinton!
Screw the haters. The pacing is perfect, Bernie. If I wanted spoon-fed easy comic I’d be reading Garfield online.

@jyaltma: Dammit, that was dumb of me wasn’t it. That newstand does look conspicuously new.

No worries. Still awesome, I like the way “Spice World” is the answer here

Any comic with Bill Clinton in it is good in my book. I never felt anything wrong with the pacing anyway. Maybe my attention span is too long…
Spice World… goodness, was it already that long ago?
2010. My, how far have we come from 1997!

Ah Bernie….you sneaky fella, had to google to find the year based on the clue, but I’m guessing 97-98.
