I love this collection of countries (from the linked Wikipedia page):

The game is popular in the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Singapore and Iran.

I think we should make political alliances based on obscure cultural overlaps such as these. Wouldn’t seem any more arbitrary than the current methods to me.

love it!

Trust me, NEVER play Marco Polo with Matt Murdoch…

Pretty nice. Funny, but not hilarious. 3/5.

Yeah – it’s not really made it’s way over here to the UK.

I confess, I did have to look it up, but now I know, I’ll try and start a national surge in awareness.

Keep up the good work Bernie!!!

Love it, Bernie!!!

I`m Brazilian, and we don`t play Marco Polo in Brazil… as far as I remember.

The reason I know what the hell is the “Marco Polo” game is because it’s mentioned in a Batman movie.

But, anyway, in Brazil we call this game “Cat-Meow”… one calls out loud “Cat!” and the others have to answer meowing.

Poor Preston… he is trully desperate.

But I thought her name was Corinna. Or does he think that Marco knows where she is? Doesn’t Marco have a cell phone? Who the hell is Marco anyhow and why haven’t we seen him before today? POLO! Yeah, I know, I was kidding, sheesh.

I think it was the OPM track that forced me to find out what Marco Polo was, which is handy because I’d not understand the current Freefall cartoon either without it. What synergy, two decent web comics both using Marco Polo jokes in the same week, must be something in the water! :-)

(In case of fire – No, not suggesting plagiarism at all, just love coincidences)
(Oh and if you didn’t know already)

Two LOLs in a row, Bernie! Fantastic. And I spent far too many days in my wasted youth, losing badly at games of Marco Polo. Just like Preston.

August 6, 2009 at 6:01 pm

I can’t believe that I am posting a comment to the effect “I feel sorry for poor Preston.”

But I am.

Keep up the good work.
