i think it looks great! adds more attitude. I wouldn’t mind being a guest girl in a speed dating panel. :) then again, i wouldn’t mind dating Abe either. ;)

I’d like to add that what Erin does in this comic would have been impossible with a doll – without any lines, the doll would have more or less sat still for three panels. Now, with Erin, she tells a whole story without saying anything…

I think real people for non-essential characters works fine. You already do have real people in the strip anyway, and the background has the odd real person in it. As long as main characters don’t become live-people, I think what you’re doing works fine, and having the odd guest getting their mug in AvP is just fine by me :)

Great change – refreshing every once in a while. However in general, prefer the dolls for comic effect.

I think I like the action figure women better. It’s consistent with the world and forms no disconnect in my mind with the fact that Abe is an action figure. Imagine if their old roommate was an actual woman – wouldn’t have worked as well. The real people take away from the miniature set quality that I like about the strip.
