Don’t worry Bernie, I’ll never watch Third Watch.

Channel 9, the free-to-air station in Australia that shows it, oversaturated its advertisments for the program a long time ago and how great it was. That was enough to put me off. I think they even have two episodes in a row on Tuesday nights. I wish they’d put on the crappy new Star Trek on earlier instead of Third Watch.

You’d think a show about emergency services would be smart enough to not put a car in front of a hydrant.

Not only that, but Im sure its technically theft to move your car without permission.

Depends where you live.

If you live in Manhattan, you’d be insane to have a car.
If you live in Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx, you can live with or without a car. I have one, because I used to work in Long Island. And at least I have a garage spot.
If you live in Staten Island, you’d be insane not to have a car.

Besides which, it takes me 20 minutes garage to spot to go to Bernie’s with a car. By train, it would take me well over an hour.

Suing would be easy, but then they’ll claim that there were notices up saying “No Parking Wednesday” or something to that effect. Unless you have other people to back that claim, and pictures, it’s going to be a “He said, they said”. So unless they’re willing to settle for a small amount to everyone, and you’re willing to accept it, you’re SOL.

I’ve had my car towed too. At least the girl working there was pretty nice to me. Most of the cars there just sit and rot, no one picks them up anymore.
There was also a couple really nice cars there too. I wish I worked there, I could take them for a spin.

This really is a major issue. A TV station has no right to tow ANYONE’S car. This is a breach of privacy, Grand Theft Auto, and you could get sooooo much money from the network just by uttering the word Lawsuit, especially if you got pictures and documented proof they did it.

Add to that a file from your wife for emotional distress over the loss of the car, and you’ve got a hefty retirement fund. Oh, and you may want to get your auto insurance in on this as well, they have serious fun with cases like this.

Just a thought…When my friend’s mom had her car moved out of a parking space that was a perfectly legitimate spot, she sued the guy and got almost $45,000…
