I'm a HUGE fan of all things octopus (although the sushi place of St. Marks next door to Bull McCabe's sold me some tainted octo that gave me food poisoning on the night of my Bachelor Party). I'm down around 9th and 2nd Ave pretty often, but I've never noticed anywhere that served deep fried Octo. As for the Bubble Tea: Heard of it, always wanted to try it, never had the chance. Then I stayed away from the bubble teas for almost 2 years until i finally bugged myself enough to try one more "cause that first one probably just sucked". Nope. Just as bad, but on the second one I had the joy of getting the ball things stuck at the bottom of the straw and sucking them up hard enough to damn near get them lodged in my throat. also, the tapioca makes my stomach hurt.
